Suma Blessings Foundation, a registered not-for-profit organization working toward hunger
alleviation and community well-being, organized a Community Meal Distribution Drive on
2nd July 2025 at Community Park, Dwarka Sector 16A. The initiative was supported by Dev
International, who generously sponsored the event to commemorate the 16th death
anniversary of their grandfather.
The primary aim of this initiative was to provide a wholesome, freshly prepared meal to
children and families from marginalized communities. It was also an effort to bring people
together in remembrance and service, emphasizing human connection and dignity.
2. Objectives of the Event
- To address immediate food insecurity among underserved children and their families
- To provide a clean, respectful, and organized meal experience
- To engage the local community in meaningful acts of service
- To honour the donor’s family legacy through a positive and impactful initiative
3. Execution Plan (Key Steps)
The planning and successful execution of the drive involved the following steps:
- Coordination with water supplier and tent house vendor
- Pre-event cleaning of the park to ensure hygiene and safety
- Installation of tent and floor mats for seating
- Placement of water bottles at the entrance
- Proper display of event banner to mark the occasion
- Arrangement of food containers and distribution materials
- Seating and prayer session before food service
- Systematic food distribution
- Post-event cleaning, packing of materials, and settlement of vendor payments
4. Activities Conducted
- Park Cleaning and Setup - The venue was cleaned and prepared to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the children and families.
- Logistics and Infrastructure - Tents, mats, water bottles, and food service areas were set up efficiently for a smooth flow of the event.
- Prayer and Assembly - A short prayer was held before the meal distribution, promoting gratitude and a sense of community.
- Meal Distribution - Freshly cooked, nutritious food was served to more than 150 underserved children and families.
- Clean-Up Drive - After the event, the entire area was cleaned and restored to its original state. All equipment was packed up, and payments were processed.
