1. Introduction
On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Suma Vidyalaya organized a vibrant celebration combined with the inauguration of its new educational centre. The new facility is more spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with a dedicated kitchen, reflecting our commitment to providing a holistic and nurturing learning environment for children.
2. Program Flow
- National Anthem : The program commenced with the collective singing of the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana”. This set a patriotic and unifying tone for the event.
- Welcome of Chief Guest: The chief guest, Ms Archita, Trustee S4G Foundation, was warmly welcomed with a sapling, symbolizing sustainability and our shared responsibility towards the environment.
- Cultural Performances: Students showcased their talents through diverse performances, including:
- Patriotic songs and thought singing
- Dance performances celebrating cultural pride
- Speeches on freedom, unity, and progress
- Poem recitations reflecting the spirit of independence
These performances highlighted the creativity, enthusiasm, and confidence of the students.
- Inauguration of New Centre: Post the cultural program, the new educational centre of Suma Vidyalaya at Dwarka 16 A was inaugurated by Ms Archita, Trustee S4G Foundation. The centre will serve as a hub of learning, innovation, and nourishment for children, offering enhanced space and modern facilities.
- Recognition & Awards: To encourage and honor participation, the student performers were awarded with Certificates of Appreciation for their efforts.
3. Student Learning
The celebration was not only a cultural event but also an opportunity for students to learn beyond textbooks.
- Confidence Building: By performing on stage, students developed public speaking and presentation skills.

4. Beneficiaries
A total of 60 beneficiaries took part directly in the program, comprising 50 students of Suma Vidyalaya and 10 office staff members. Their participation reflected the collective spirit of the institution and its community.
5. Food Distribution
To mark Independence Day, food items symbolizing the national spirit were distributed to all beneficiaries. Each participant received:
- Tri-colour Sandwich – representing the Indian flag
- Orange Boondi ke Laddu – representing joy, festivity, and unity
This symbolic distribution reflected the essence of patriotism and togetherness while ensuring everyone was included in the celebration.
