A Million Meals Initiative to Support the Hungry

Suma Spoon of Love under Suma Blessings Foundation, focused on combating hunger and malnutrition among underserved families, especially children and women. It aims to ensure that no one sleeps hungry and that every child receives adequate nutrition to grow, learn, and thrive. The program emphasizes not only food distribution, but also nutritional awareness, hygiene, and community empowerment through food security.

Key Components of the Program

  • Nutrition and Cooking Awareness Sessions: Mothers and caregivers are engaged in community workshops that focus on preparing affordable, nutritious meals using locally available ingredients. These promote healthy feeding practices and diet diversity.
  • Food Hygiene and Safety Education: Awareness sessions on safe food storage, preparation, and consumption practices to minimize foodborne diseases and encourage healthy habits.
  • Emergency and Festival Food Drives: Food relief drives are organized during emergencies, seasonal hardship, and festivals to ensure no family is left behind during difficult times or community celebrations.
