200+ Women
Basic and advanced sewing training to over 200 women from marginalized communities.
In India, a large segment of women—particularly from rural and low-income communities—lack access to vocational training and livelihood opportunities. Despite possessing immense potential, many women are confined to domestic roles due to financial constraints, lack of skills, and limited exposure to employment options.
Tailoring and sewing present one of the most sustainable and culturally accepted forms of skill-based livelihood for women. It enables them to earn from home, balance family responsibilities, and contribute economically. Recognizing this, Suma Blessings Foundation has initiated the “Silai Se Samriddhi” project to empower women through sewing and tailoring skill training.
This initiative aims to transform underprivileged women into confident, skilled, and self-reliant entrepreneurs capable of generating their own income and improving their families’ standard of living.
