2. Need Assessment
Before organizing the drive, our team conducted a detailed field assessment across the Najafgarh area to identify the most vulnerable families. After visiting several settlements and engaging in one-on-one conversations with residents, we selected Baprola Vihar, where 35 families were found living in extremely poor conditions.
Most families in the area earn their livelihood through informal waste collection and manual labor, with irregular income and no social or economic security. The community faces severe challenges — from food insecurity to lack of education for children. During our interaction, many women expressed a desire for skill development opportunities to improve their family’s financial stability in the future.
3. Distribution Drive
The Diwali Joy Kit Distribution took place on 14th October 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Baprola Vihar, Najafgarh. The event was conducted in the presence of Ms. Archita Agarwal and Mrs. Sudha Agarwal, who personally interacted with the beneficiaries and helped in distributing the kits.
Each family received a Joy Kit, containing:
- 5 kg Chakki Atta
- 2 kg Rice
- 1 kg Mixed Dal
- 1 Litre Mustard Oil
- 1 kg Sugar
- 1 kg Tata Salt
- Masala Pack (Haldi, Mirch, Dhaniya)
The joy on the faces of the families was truly heartwarming. Their smiles and words of gratitude reflected how a small act of kindness can illuminate many lives during festive times.
